About Me

blog intro pic moss

I am a 21-year-old with a knack for telling stories that have too much context and not enough logical organization. I recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in psychology and have the talent of blinking in photographs.

Over the last two years I have kept a journal, which continues to be a wonderful learning experience. Keeping a journal has helped me better appreciate the importance of reflecting on the past, as well as living with purpose in the present, realizing how I am constantly learning, growing, and experiencing new things.

The blogging scene fascinated me for some time, yet I never had the courage or understanding to join in until December of 2015.

I call this blog “Wonders in the Wind” because I find the wind quite fascinating; it is unseen, yet felt. It travels all over, and it can change suddenly. The wind can be compared to the impact we can have on others. We can never fully know how what we do or say affects those around us. The subtitle is “Towards the Alignment of Thoughts and Actions”, which means being true to yourself. It means letting yourself be known and pursuing the things that interest you. That is another hope I have for this blog: that I will write and create what is interesting to me and be open enough to share those things.

Through blogging, I hope to bring up topics and questions that can help us better align what we think and how we act. I plan to challenge myself and others to live thoughtfully and authentically. I also take the time to recognize the things I am thankful for, something I hope encourages you as much as it does me. And lastly, I have a growing interest in comedy and creative experiments, so you will find things like that on this blog as well. I think it’s important to serious examine our lives, but I also find value in creating happiness by making people laugh.

Posting Schedule for 2017:

  • 1st Thursday of  the month: A new Authentic Living post
  • 2nd Thursday of the month: A new episode of Asked And Answered, your scripted comedy question and answer talk show
  • 3rd Thursday of the month: A new Thankful For… update
  • 4th Thursday of the month: A new Experiments post (this could be a new Unquote, Unseen Magazine cover, satire post, comic, DIY card idea, or something else comedic or satirical in nature)
  • 5th Thursday of the month: When the month has a fifth Thursday, a bonus Experiments post will be published. Lucky you!

If that doesn’t make sense here is the same information put a different way.

I once heard someone say that everyone should have a blog, as blogs allow people to share their stories. Blogs encourage human connection over thoughts, ideas, and mutual interests. I strongly agree with this, and I hope that we would all grasp what our unique perspective can bring to others.

With a narrowed focus, and a good dose of hope, I run this blog. Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by; I truly appreciate it!

  1. Hey Ryan!
I really love the personalized appearance of your blog. I’m new here and maybe would want my blog to look as full as yours! If you could drop in there and give any ounce of advice, it would be much appreciated!
Love the blog, keep writing! 🙂

  2. Great Scott! You’re only 21. Such wisdom. I’m impressed. What a strategy to springboard from a daily journal to blogging. If it helps, then I’m glad you’ve chosen to go for it. I imagine much has been gained as a result. And just think, one or more of your readers have been inspired and lifted. Well done!!!

  3. Hi! I love the topics you tackle on your blog. I see you’ve got some great stuff going on. I love the positivity you display. I’m really looking forward to reading more. Keep it up!

  4. Michael, thank you for visiting my blog and the least I could do was pay you a visit in return. Here’s a riddle about wind you might like,
Voiceless it cries, Wingless flutters, Toothless bites, Mouthless mutters.
Look forward to reading some of your stuff

  5. Your blog is well written, I should say. You seem to have done much customizing to make the Sela theme your own. It is easy to navigate and your posts are easy to find.
Wonders in the Wind, that is a great name. I wish you all the best in your blogging experience.

    Avery Heart
